What is N.U.C.C.A?

N.U.C.C.A (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) is an acronym for the association it represents.

NUCCA is a form of chiropractic care focused on correcting a small misalignment of the neck. The C1 vertebra or atlas is the only bone corrected by NUCCA Chiropractors. This subtle, gentle, correction ultimately restores optimal balance to the entire spine. There is no forceful adjusting or twisting of the spine.

How does it work?

It is the ability to clearly and gently take care of the most influential part of the spine so that when the cause of the problem is corrected the whole body is able to rest and heal like it was meant to be. Almost always the main bone in the neck called the “Atlas” or “C1 Vertebrae” will have a misalignment that is causing miscommunication to the whole body through the nervous system.
